Spyker D12

This Spyker D12 is a 500bhp four-seater SUV supercar, and its price is around £185,000. Spyker has announced that it is to build a four-seater SUV supercar. The new details of the Spyker D12 SUV have surfaced the web together with a spy shot of a clay model of the new car.
The clay model of the Spyker D12 SUV seen in the images shows a number of differences in comparison to the Peking-to-Paris concept unveiled a few years back. At first glance, the Spyker D12 SUV has new side mirrors, a front spoiler lip, different rims and no air vents on the fenders.
Most sources believe the power of the Spyker D12 SUV will come from a supercharged V8 engine borrowed from either Ferrari or AMG. However, not credible details regarding the engine are available yet. It is powered by a six-litre W12 taken straight out of the VW Phaeton but fettled up to a mighty 500bhp. So it is good for a 0-60mph time of around five seconds and a top speed of 186mph. Slightly quicker than a Porsche Cayenne Turbo.
Spyker D12 SUV will keep the suicide rear doors seen on the concept and most of the proportions of the Peking-to-Paris concept. We’ll have more details on the Spyker D12 SUV soon.
Spyker D12 is based on the Paris-to-Peking concept from 2006, which itself was named after a 1907 across-the-world race in which Spyker finished second, which we think is a rather apt metaphor for the company, the crossover 4×4 will go into production next year with, we’re told, most of the styling cues of the, er, unmissable concept intact.
